In this episode, PIMFA senior policy analysts Giulia Lupato and Simon Harrington will discuss the threat of scams in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, the risks posed to both firms and their clients from increasingly sophisticated scams and how firms can keep themselves and their clients safe.

What will be discussed?

The webinar will address the most recent threats and their level of sophistication including:

  • Impersonation fraud – where scammers impersonate a firm or increasingly more common, a client
  • Firm cloning – where scammers create fake company websites and emails to convince clients to part with their money
  • Pensions scams targeted at savers anxious about their savings portfolios in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis

It will also provide practical information on how firms can keep themselves and their clients safe from these threats.

Got a Question?

There will, as usual, be an opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.
